I checked manually also, and got the update. I believe the behavior now for updates that are non security and not released on patch Tuesday, is that to get them when they are released you have to check manually in Windows updates. If you don't check Windows updates manually, you ll get them automatically the following patch Tuesday. Thats how it is despite what the link says regarding "How to get this update", that's what I experienced this past 2 moths with this type of updates in W10, I also think I read that somewhere but cant find the link right now. So, its OK you had to check to get the update.

KB 4040724 brings Win10 Creators Update version 1703 up to build 15063.632. It’s supposed to fix the two acknowledged bugs in the earlier September cumulative update.

Have any problems been reported regarding Sandboxie and KB4040724?
The update failed for me, until I disabled all my security softs. Then it worked. Now I am trying to figure out which program was the culprit...
On this machine I am running Sandboxie licensed version 5.21.2 beta
(Also running Kaspersky Internet Security 2018, and NVT ERP)

I'm running Sandboxie too and KB4040724 was installed successful. The culprit could be a different security application.

FWIW no issues here with updating and running KB4040724 here and Sandboxie (same version as you), and NVT ERP (see sig, primary machine). So maybe your issue is with KIS?

Btw I still had to disable HMPA (build 717b) service to 'see' KB4040724 in WU.

Thanks to you and to @mood.
Yes, it looks like Kaspersky might be the suspect here.

@mood May I ask if you experienced any issue between HMPA and KB4040724?

shmu26, Sandboxie doesn't interfere in any way with Windows updates. Windows update cant run sandboxed and it cant be forced.

In the 3 months I had W10, my personal experience updating Windows automatically or manually via Windows updates or using the Windows update assistant have been perfect. I haven't experienced any issues or failures to update. I think the reason for that is because I pretty much leave Windows as it comes and change only what Microsoft gives an easy way to change. I dont install many programs, the fewer the better and I don't use programs to change Windows 10. Based on my experience and what I read, when updating W10, specially when doing major updates, is a good idea to disable security programs that can interfere with the updating process. Even better, when doing major updates, like the Fall Creators Update, for a healthier updating process it wouldn't be a bad idea to uninstall security programs like the ones you are using before you update.

I installed KB4041681 Rollup and MSRT. I did not install 'recommended' update KB4043766 for .NET Framework, that one can wait.

Be aware that the KB4041681 rollup for Windows 7 resolves several security vulnerabilities, where KB4043766 for .NET Framework offers only new 'Quality' content. KB4043766's security content is the same that was part of the September 12 rollup for .NET Framework.

Installed today's updates on a 1703 Win 10 setup and it installed the KB4041676 update twice... once the first time, then once again after I installed a few programs and added some old .NET files. Weird, but not unheard of with 10.... :)

Haven't updated my Win 7 image yet... maybe next week.

A real saga here, updating my primary system Win 10 Pro x64 v1703 15063.632 with KB4041676.

Repeated Windows Updates either failed or no updates found.

Repeated installs of MS Catalog KB4041676 Delta Update: 'The update is not applicable to your computer'.

Eventually MS Catalog KB4041676 Cumulative Update install worked (maybe due to running WU Troubleshooter).

    So now 15063.674.

Edit: No issues with secondary system.
