Engineering is no longer up to speed on marketing. They've become very separate entities

Hey. How come AG v4 makes a VM in Hyper-V unstartable? Keep getting an error message when I try to start the VM. Revert to a Checkpoint without AG and no problem.

Does AppGuard say if it's blocking anything when you try to start the VM? Check the AppGuard Activity Report.

Cannot even start the VM so I cannot check anything. It installs just fine.

Once I update to v1703 I will make a checkpoint then try again. Do not want to install anything until then.

Tired right now so will post when done.

    Thanks,
    Robert

Oh, that's weird. Maybe there's a driver conflict. Keep us posted when you find time to trouble shoot it more, or if you have any questions.

Ok got AG to work. IVPN works too. Only thing is I cannot activate AG because of too many activation's. Here is the error message.

There are no activation's left for this license. Activation failed. Code 5013.

I forgot what Lockdown said to do to some poster about this issue. The only reason I have used up the activation's is because of the stupid Hyper-V. I had 4 or something like that before.

Do I contact Blue Ridge or whomever about this and get my activation's back. I plan on Clean Installing Fall Creators next month so I need the activation's.

    Win 10 Pro x64 v1703 on Gen 2 VM.

    Thanks,
    Robert

You must contact them, no other ways around. Remember every time you install AG it uses one activation, so you MUST uninstall it online first if you delete a VM snapshot or reinstall Windows.

I know guest. It's just that I could not get into the VM. The snapshot I made was for a clean install. I didn't think that the VM would fail to start because of AG. That's why the activation's were used.

    I will contact them.

    Thanks,
    Robert

I received this response: "Can you please provide some context for this request? Are you looking for support on your current version, or are you looking to purchase a new version of AppGuard Personal when it becomes available?
    Thank You,
    AppGuard Support"
I responded back but they did not reply. Anyhow, it looks like they are still offering a personal version.

I have a lifetime license for version 4, contacted them about a week ago asking for a link to download it, they sent one. So I would say yes, there is still a personal version 4 kicking around.

It works, but I was referring to their website here: https://www.appguard.us/ which only lists the small business and enterprise versions.
