    In my opinion the article is mostly BS too. Too each his own, but CCleaner has nothing to do with what AV you use and the Kaspersky accusations are nothing but until proven true.

    Well, there's always MSE and Windows Defender .............:eek:

    Also since there would be no competition, Microsoft would promptly change both to optional extra cost features.

    Yes, I believe with no competition they would charge for it and it would be lower quality. Competition is good.

    At the moment we don't need less people working in IT security industry, we need more of them.

    With all the earthquakes and hurricanes tearing up so many people's lives, this is really not too important in my scheme of things. I will continue to use CC and WD and go on with life. What others do is their decision and I respect that.

    As long as you have peace of mind and are happy, that's all that counts. Interestingly, the only infection I ever had was when I had a paid AV. I never had any infection with free AV's, including MSE.
