Hi All, This is my first post and I was hoping to get some help with a hard drive with full disk encryption. I have seen a few similar posts but have not been able to find a solution yet. So what happened is I reinstalled windows onto a separate hard drive and somehow the drive in question ceased to function. At first it showed it being a completely blank HDD and it wouldn't find any truecrypt volume, after restoring the volume header from a hidden header it could mount. However it now said the mounted volume needed to be formatted before being read. I at this point took a full RAW backup of the encrypted HDD which oddly enough was the size of space used on the previously functioning HDD (650 GB / 1000GB), shouldn't a tool like HDD Raw Copy not be able to find the start and end of a truecrypt partition? Anyways the real problem is that I cannot get any other tool to recognize that the mounted RAW drive and so no tool can progress further, how can I either fix the mounted drive or get the raw data off to further work on restoring data? Any help would be greatly appreciated as the data lost was very important and only old backups exist.
