I will upgrade it when my Windows 10 Pro shows downloading of the newest Windows 10 Pro Creators upgrade, not before and not after.
But the most important thing is to disable HIPS right? Especially because of Windows 10 upgrade. I use HIPS in safe more and I enabled option "create rules for safe applications", however, when Windows 10 starts to upgrade, the best thing is to disable HIPS so it doesn't ask me every single time, what to allow and what to block, right? Does any of you use Comodo Firewall HIPS at all, maybe in safe mode with enabled option "create rules for safe applications"?
I use HIPS in Safe. As for option "create rules for safe applications" I think it's useful only if you want then to raise settings to Paranoid mode. For less chatty popups.
Is it possible to have comodo checks app hashes and prompt the user is it changes? If not, that could be very dangerous. What's to stop malware, or any other exe, from masquerading at anything else that has an allow rule? I ask because I don't see anything like that.
Thanks. That does help a little bit. But I meant more along the lines of the other modules, where it would be more useful; firewall, and HIPS.
To achieve that you need to set the FW on "Custom ruleset" and the HIPS on "Paranoid". Then you'll get an alert every time the file changes
I'm not sure that's true. I just tried with a file that I knew was going to be replaced, updated, so I know the hash would change. Neither HIPS not the firewall alerted me to any change. They are set to Paranoid and Custom, respectfully.
I searched Comodo forum and I found few posts about file hash, I don't know if this can help, I'm not very familiar with HIPS settings: https://forums.comodo.com/defense-s...-viruscope-t118169.0.html;msg850960#msg850960 https://forums.comodo.com/defense-s...ized-files-t117813.0.html;msg848788#msg848788 https://forums.comodo.com/firewall-...ksum-files-t117462.0.html;msg846728#msg846728 https://forums.comodo.com/defense-s...-revisited-t117561.0.html;msg847810#msg847810
