When you install Adobe software you then have to activate it. The activation code is generated from the software serial number.
I have reinstalled my old XP machine and my Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom CS3
These are my genuine original bought and paid for Adobe software and they won't activate because the Adobe site said they had to retire their ageing activation server. Like they couldn't just replace an old server like everyone else does!!
So they say I have to download a new 450mb installer for my software.
So what kind of sneaky bs are they up to ?
They could easily generate the activation code from my original serial number on the box, like they always did before, but they won't. So why not ?
What is the real reason for this bs?
I don't trust any of these tech corporations any more and I sure as hell dont want the latest version of their crap on my computer. I just want my activation code for my original software that I ****** paid for. I'm really ****** about this.

I did and they said I have to download a new 450mb installation. This is bs and I want to know what they are up to.
Everyone knows a simple keygen app can generate the activation code so why won't they?

they gave a generic key - which is valid - but this this generic key dont include a valid license. AFAIR the generic key has not need to be activated online. you cannot user your key, but activation is valid for you due license. not sure if this helps:

Older Adobe applications are abandonware. They come with a generic license but get no updates.
