    I want a Free 2nd opinion scanner. OS W7P64 I have BDIS2018 for RT.

I have EEK (A+), SAS (does it do anything?), MB3 (not happy with it) & Zemana (does it do anything?).

So other than the above what should I try?

You say MBAM. That stands for "Malwarebyte Anti-malware", the old V2.x application that has been superseded by "Malwarebytes" (MB3.x) which I recommend. This new version stumbled badly out of the gate before the holidays but the bugs have finally been worked out. It is what I use as my secondary scanner (with Windows Defender as my primary).

Well, many have moved to Zemana. There's also SUPERAntispyware. While it's name seems obsolete and out of the past, it now scans for all malware, not just spyware.

You could try HitmanPro. You did indicate you were interested in freeware. Only caveat with HitmanPro free when I used it is that while it scans for free, if it found anything you'd have to go to the paid offering to clean/remove. There was a bit of a work-around there too, in that you could sign up for their 30 day trial which gave full features to then remove any malware found.

TY but as you mentioned I'm looking for freeware. My rigamarole days are pretty much over.

I understand. But you said MBAM, the old version and you did not mention SAS.

    Malware Hunter is not freeware.

Yes, it is. The free version is a second opinion scanner.

It's probably outdated information. As far as I'm aware, it is like SAS, in that it offers a free version which allows you to scan and remove malware, and a pro version with real-time protection.

You are right. Glarysoft should make this plain. Also option when 1st run to enable Avira engine. Very nice so far. TY 1Capture.jpg

Temporary File Cleaner, TFC.exe, not a scanner, but useful to speed-up scans.
Kaspersky TDS-Killer, to scan for Rootkits, just in case... (very fast)
AdwCleaner, to find and remove all the things your primary AV missed. (very fast)

    I would drop:
EEK, because scan takes to long.
    SAS, because outdated.
MB3, because it needs to be installed. Would use it, if AdwCleaner, or ZAM found something

I would keep ZAM, because it's fast and always up to date, but it will rarely find something, because BDIS2018, already cleaned it.

Cezurity Antivirus Scanner is a very good second opinion scanner. It doesn't seem to have issues with false positives, and it's easy to get it to whitelist anything you don't want to remove.

I've found that Zemana is excellent at detecting malware.

    @J_L:
You did a fast scan, did you?

You won't do a fast scan, if you are under the impression, that your machine is infected?

    I guess it's technically a fast scan.

If I was under the impression the my machine is infected, I'd restore a disk image. Fast scans are enough to give me a good impression.

For me approximately 10 minutes, but I'm glad to have a second scan from EEK, so all right for me !

It does support Windows 10. It says so on the Russian language webpage, and it is working fine for me.
