How long is a purchased Webroot key good for? If I buy a '17 key can I hold it and activate on '18?

Yes no problem as I have keycodes from a few years ago! The keycode starts counting down on first activation (first used).

If I may, Daniel? If it is the Best Buy version then the subscription/keycode period starts counting down from the moment the till rings & Best Buy takes you money. Different to the standard Webroot versions...and a pain if one does not realise that this sis the case.

    Regards, Baldrick

Very true for US users that buy the Boxed version from Best Buy, but it's not that way here in Canada. ;)

Following a reboot I was presented, unexpectedly, with the new Solution Agreement pop-up acceptance request, the software being apparently temporarily non-functional until acceptance. A brief review of the Community forum, and look at press releases, brings no publicly-available info that I could see. It would be nice to know how this new EULA might differ from the previous, and perhaps would have helped to receive notification of the imminent changes.

Well, I have the same pop-up, but pressing any of the buttons (Agree & Continue or Remind Me Later) does nothing! I can't get the thing to go away?!

You can try and shut down WSA from the Tray Icon and restart it and if that doesn't work do a reboot.

    From Webroot:
"Our goal isn't to annoy anyone. It's really too bad people see it this way. We want to inform, not annoy. When we do change the agreement though, it's our duty to let everyone know."

I was able to click "Remind me Later", and thankfully haven't seen it since! :) Hopefully we'll be able to discern what changes are evident, or Webroot might inform us, but I don't know if the previous agreement is still available now, as my older link to EULA now re-directs.

Also, in response to comments from Webroot TH just posted (thanks Daniel :thumb: ), for myself, I wasn't annoyed, just wishing to be informed, and kept 'up to speed' with developments. They have our email addresses etc.

I told them it might annoy a few so it's nothing more as they were replying to my comment.

From one of the Webroot Staff:

"The issue of not being able to select any of the buttons has been passed up, shutting down Webroot in the sys tray or rebooting the machine has fixed the issue in most instances. They can also open a ticket with support if that doesn't fix the issue."

I had to go to Task Manager and kill WSA and then restart it to get it to go away.

You shouldn't be able to kill WSA from Task Manager as it should restart by itself at the least? Self Protection.

Right click on the Webroot Tray Icon and... 2017-08-11_20-40-15.png

Do all users receive notice. Have not received Solution Agreement pop-up, yet.

To quote a member of Webroot's staff: "we are only rolling it out to small groups of customers at a time, and only to those that installed the agent before the EULA change".

Started using WSA after a gap of one & half years. Stopped using it to try out other antiviruses. I like the fact that they have kept the GUI intact and for this reason I am still feeling at home. Using it with Zemana AM Pro at present.

I always had a little complain against WSA but have never forwarded it to the support because it was not really a bug or something. @Triple Helix you may forward this feedback to your team.

WSA shows an alert for the first time attempt to execute "Full Scan", saying that it is not needed because central monitoring is always on, and that this feature is actually intended for Networks! It does not show the alert for further attempts at "Full Scan" though... My feedback is against showing that alert (discouraging the user to perform full scan)... Multiple times before and even this time WSA discovered infections in Full Scan, which it does not report in real-time scan. Actually, this are not active infections, but some infected files (actually PUP/PUA & also FPs), lying in my software collection, and I bet WSA would also caught those if executed. Sometimes WSA adds new definitions and I find new detections in the next Full Scan too, which it does not report in real-time scan.

Apart from this I really like the simplicity & robustness of WSA.
