In the past I used Acronis True Image, my problem with it was their practice of releasing what is more or less a alpha and perfecting the software during the year and arriving a fully functional release in October or November. But I am open minded I just don't dismiss software just because it is Russian.
Acronis seems to be mending it's ways. Since they released 2017, there have been two additional fix releases to 2016. Surprised the heck out of me.
I would install Russian software and I do (Adguard, ReHIPS and Kaspersky). I try to stay away from American software but I run Windows... I do not prioritize company reputation over geographical reputation generally. The privacy laws in America simply does not compensate for company reputation of American companies.
But seriously, I don't know what you're referring to. What I quoted was the 4th post of that link AFAIK. *Oh wait, #4 is at the bottom, not the 4th one down...
