Here's the two test by cruelsister

(In case someone here hasn't watched it yet)

    (This the new video)
    https://malwaretips.com/threads/qihoo-security-essentials-against-revenge-ransomware.70054/

Based on these videos, it appears Total Security is superior

(Btw, are comparison between antivirus from the same company allowed?)

So, the updates on 360TS were not only about the toolbox, but also about critical security features

By the way, Qihoo 360TS is not bulletproof against ransomwares...

    Hi cruelsister,
I watched your videos about Qihoo, but I think you haven't posted yet the "Part 3: QTS vs Tencent comparison" (you mentioned it in the Zemana video).
Do you have any plan to release this video?
    Thanks :)

I was about to go to YouTube to make it public this past Wednesday when I realized that I had not only not ever uploaded it but also had deleted it from my disk! So that one will have to be redone from scratch maybe next month. But I will give one impression on Tencent- I have a feeling that some capital is being diverted from the Freebie security side and placed instead in the Online Billpay side. Currently Tencent (Tenpay) controls about a third of the Chinese online payment market (Alibaba's AliPay has about 55%). Chinese BillPay last year was a 15 billion USD market, with growth by 2020 anticipated to exceed 65 billion. Last year Tencent had 10% of their revenue from this area, so you can understand a shift in priorities.

I state the above both as a way of showing the dissatisfaction I had with the performance of Tencent in the deleted test (it would have been BRILLIANT!), and as my apology for a promise not kept.

    Ah, that's a pity...
But I don't understand one thing. You said you are not satisfied with the performance of Tencent, but then you said it would have been brilliant... so, why you are not satisfied if it did well?

This used to be Wifi check. It always failed on my Gateway. I believe what it does now is check your Wifi encryption to make sure its WPA2 but can someone confirm this?

If you encounter a problem, just install a old 360 and update.
Or may be your VM set up.

Well, I simply downloaded from the main 360 page. Don't have an old install. And no, it's not the VM. Everything else downloads and installs in seconds.

    nm...grabbed one from Filehippo

Which has made absolutely no difference. Now I sit and wait for it to update. Thinking the 360 servers are pretty slow...holy.

Ugh...after 30 minutes upgrading, it got 3/4 of the way there and then failed showing a 360 network error. Good times.

Finally gave up after more than 10 retries. I'll try again tomorrow, but if it fails, time to move on.

If you have a supported router it will check if you are using the default password for the router's configuration page, and if you are it will suggest you change it.

Is anyone here using 360 on SUA account? Does it work correctly?
