    Couple of things.

When I am online at places I normally am at like here I am online in the open. I also have NordVPN, and I I just want basic security I use a local server. But If i want privacy I use a server from somewhere in Europe. Good luck with them figuring out where I am.

I read the whole article and thing that made me chuckle was the person who complained on Facebook. They are the worst, so if you value privacy, no facebook.

Getting a letter about a clinical trial? Not really a problem, by itself.

The problem is imagining what else companies are doing with that information. Setting rates for health insurance, or life insurance, or whatever. Plus the fact that some of said information is incorrect, and you have no way to know how it's being used. Or to challenge it.

    Crazy world :(

USA still the best. But barely.
Got a message from my med. ins. co. today. I called back & left this message, "Don't ever call me unless it involves possible loss of coverage."

I don't get any medical e-mail but do get a lot of phishing mails that was suppose to be from my bank. I usually forward to the phishing support dept. and also call just for good measure.

There's only one word that fits these guys. Vultures. What a disgusting invasion of your privacy.

I got a medical email inviting me to attend a medical drug trial and my phone carrier has a notice to "make sure your info is correct" that reads like a phishing email. One time I sent them a email asking them if they just sent me a email and they said yes., I confirmed by the link provided. I haven't heard any thing more spam or otherwise.
