Indeed this can be true :). I am very careful about testing compatibility of layers.

But in this case RO is a very active beta, and they are already looking at the problem: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/ransomoff-4.393013/page-18#post-2680453
I am happy to help them in this regard.

Good thing I'm running build 1607. Microsoft can't brick my PC because my version of Windows only gets security and bug fixes.

Interesting - got the dreaded KB2952664 again today but now MS says it doesn't contain GWX. I don't trust it anyway so I've hidden it.

Compatibility update for keeping Windows up-to-date in Windows 7
    • Introduction
This update performs diagnostics on the Windows systems that participate in the Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program. The diagnostics evaluate the compatibility status of the Windows ecosystem, and help Microsoft to ensure application and device compatibility for all updates to Windows. There is no GWX or upgrade functionality contained in this update.

Did anyone else get the gift of two Malicious Software Removal Tools? I'm aiming to see if I can get rid of one of them. Cumulative, Adobe flash, and Update for Windows, kbs 4022725, 4022730, 4022405 respectively, installed briskly and problem-free, hopefully for everyone else (W10CU). At least this fell on a Tuesday this time.

Edit: Nah, I can't uninstall them, I'm stuck with 'em. Did anybody run Disk Cleanup? It took a long time but esp. if you have a bitty SSD, you get almost 2 gigabytes back from WU alone.

I don't expect my system to be borked. Only security/bug fixes are rolled out on mine.

Yes, as mentioned by ghodgson, last week.
If you don't want tKB2952664 installed, in Windows Update right-click KB2952664 and choose to hide it, and you're done.

The May 2017 Preview of the Quality Rollups for the .NET Framework is not new, it is an optional update since May 16.
I expected it to be offered as important update on June 13, but it wasn't. Perhaps it will be offered as important later this month, or next month.
