I would appreciate learning of the specific benefits (if any) that MR7 offers a Win7 x64 user over MR6?

Hey Cruise, the major enhancement (of v7 over v6) is CBT

Thanks Scott, but I find that MR statement confusing. Does it mean that CBT only benefits Intra-Daily backups? - I do Monthly-Full, Weekly-Diff and Daily-Incr' backups, so I'm wondering if CBT benefits that backup scheme?

Froggie, thanks for clearing that up; so that being the case I don't see any reason for me to move from v6 to v7.

AFAIK if you leave your computer on 24 hours a day your daily incrementals will be faster with CBT (though I suppose you would just schedule them for the middle of the night and speed wouldn't matter).

you also will get the latest fixes and updates since v6. especially useful for the ever-changing target of win10.

Even as W10 is concerned, v6 remains actively maintained until Feb 2018 (see Post #4939)... Macrium policy.

Is it after February 2018 when v7 Free will be released? :doubt:

@taotoo, our computers are shutdown at 'sleepy-time'. ;)
    @kronckew, it's that 'ever-changing' W10 that keeps me a (happy) W7 user! :isay:

...so at this time I don't see a good reason to upgrade to Reflect 7 .

I imagine it will be either that or continued support of MR6-Free. As I see it, there wouldn't be any functional advantage of an MR7-Free. :doubt:

How can I download the trial version of 6.3.1813?

The Reflect Downloader always downloads the v7 trial instead...

I don't want to enter one of my 4 v6 licenses when downloading, as I want the downloaded (trial) executable to work for all 4 of my licenses (applying licenses afterwards).

The downloader is a bit messed up, but you can still download v6 or v7 without the downloader.

    What version do you need?

My Macrium Reflect (paid, home edition) 6.3.1745 told me that there was this new 6.3.1813.
Upgraded, made new bootable DVD PE5-based, made new recovery environment; all without problem.
I don't know if and when I will go to version 7. I make only manual started full backup-images (or restore when needed). (Win 7 64-bit).

Sincere gratitude (again) Robin A. courtesy your generosity in bringing this operation to my attention.

With an obvious slowly declining WD disk I took no chances this time in wasting effort but forthwith ran that parameter before initiating another new Macrium image run again after running quite a stress pressure of extended duration with malwares/ramsomwares in hopes of salvaging a known good just before the eventual decline to total unusability which is on limited time before it gets malfunctioned to it's final product end cycle.

    Bug Fixes 6.3.1821 - 7th June 2017
    • Invalid characters in the log file
The image and File and Folder log file could display invalid characters. This has been resolved.

    • Server Plus - Mailbox Restore
When exporting to PST file, Sent Items emails' Date Sent fields were not always being populated. This has been resolved.
If the time zone had been changed between backup and restoring, Mailbox Restore would sometimes not correctly restore appointment start and end times when restoring to Exchange 2016. This has been resolved
When restoring to multiple mailboxes at once, the Mailbox Restore progress window will no longer incorrectly report failed restores
The Mailbox Restore wizard will no longer flicker when expanding completely empty mailboxes
