I do not have a smart phone or GPS unit. I do have a program for my Kindle, but cannot print as my printer is not WiFi. It would be nice to be able to print driving directions. So, does anyone here have a program for a GPS for a Windows PC? I don't want to pay much and free would be better. Thanks, Jerry
Jerry, You don't need a GPS app to print driving instructions. You can do it from the Windows Maps app.
Jerry, You have probably found it but it's in the Win 10 Start Menu under M. Download the map for your country.
Thanks, again Brian. I found it, and it does a good job. My problem is that after the map is drawn and instructions as to directions appears I cannot find a way to print it. I do have a scree capture app, but isn't there a PRINT button? Jerry
Jerry, After you click Get Directions you see a Time and Distance field. Under this is Share, Print, Pin. Click Print. A window opens with your default printer. I prefer to change the printer to Adobe PDF and save to the default Documents folder, to be printed to paper later.
Some blind hogs never find an acorn, and starve. I got it now, and it is a good app. Thanks a lot. Jerry
There is no standalone map app like Microsoft Streets and Trips but I've pinned Google Maps to my Bookmarks Toolbar. I can look up maps anytime.
