is there an easy way to clean the DNS cache or a app or addon to do it ? my reason for this is because a little research everybody recommends to clear the DNS cache before using a VPN or my genuine IP is still seen, or is there anything else i should do before running a VPN to stay anonymous online

Open a admin level command prompt window and type "ipconfig /flushdns" less the quote marks.

thats why i disabled the stupid dns prefetching (prefetching at all) in firefox

    http://ccm.net/faq/555-disabling-the-dns-cache-in-mozilla-firefox

prefetching causes unnecessary network traffic. in case of slow lines it may has pro's but in general not. dns prefetching is useless in administrated systems with own dns-server. concerning windows with active dns service totally nonsense.

firefox dns cache > windows (OS) dns cache > router dns cache > dns server outside

If you use CCleaner you can enable DNS cache cleaning in it's settings.

Create yourself a simple batch file. Open notepad:

    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /renew

Name it what you want with .bat extension.
This will refresh your IP and flush DNS

Unless you have a slow internet connection, there is no reason to use DNS Cache at all, it is an obsolete feature from old days.
