I wonder if any of the old AVG fans got the invitation to prague, because none I know did (including me).

That being said, the new AVG 2017 is pretty good, but it's obvious it's an improved AVAST under the hood now.

I'm happy they decided to continue the AVG product line. AVG protection is very affordable and an excellent product. Two thumbs up.

After running the new AVG 2017 ZEN on several systems for a couple of weeks, I give this product an Acceptable Rating and ONE thumb up.
Compared to AVG V15, I find the 2017 version much heavier than before, especially on older hardware-based systems.
AVG offers good value for the money, and I'm still gonna use it.

$70 a year is a bit steep, it says unlimited devices but let's face it most people use 1-2 computers at home...I'm sure discounts are always available if one is patient, but it is true for all companies...

Yeah, but who is paying $70/year for it? You can get it online from Newegg for $20ish/year, and even cheaper on Ebay.

EXACTLY. I paid only $30 via Newegg for TWO years of AVG Ultimate protection for unlimited devices. Just keep an eye on the Newegg thread (with mucho thanks to Thankful) for the latest deals.

Yes, I do. But given the computers I use it on are usually quad/octa cores with 6+ gb of ram, it's not particularly problematic. I'm sure they they will optimise it going forward.

"Tiny Firewall for blocking EternalBlue exploit - (internal) It is a part of StreamFilter, turned ON/OFF by Online Shield"

For some reason I never knew AVG included Tiny Firewall.

^I doubt it's the "Tiny Firewall" you guys are talking about. As far as I know Avast and AVG both licensed Outpost for their firewall components (in reality: more like licensing some code of Outpost and significantly modifying it).
