I am unsure of why this error occurs for me but perhaps I may have put too many files into the rather small partition. I have gone over serveral of @dantz previous help guides but my senario is a little different. I have a main partition on the harddrive that has most of my files and works fine. I have just lost access to my other smaller partition, due to "incorrect volume size". So when I was following the guide in the middle of the following page, I couldn't get the copy to mount and I think it is because the location of the partitions are different. Another time the trial version of WinHex said it can not make copies so large. The part I want to copy I think is the 3.7MB "unpartitioned space", does this label mean it is too damaged to do anything with?

Can someone please provide some direction for me in regards to finding the correct location to start to copy this with WinHex? I have the following appear when I open the harddrive in WinHex:

    Start Sectors 1.0MB, 1st Sector 0
    Partition 1 (F : ) NTFS 466GB, 1st Sector 2,048
    Unpartitioned space 3.7MB, 1st Sector 976,744,495
    Unpartitioned space 344KB, 1st Sector 976,752,000
