Yeah, it seems that we didn't coordinate our PR efforts and not announced it. edit: will do once it's out of beta. Is it still broken? Cannot reproduce on my side.
Is there any way to block the pop up videos on this site like the one here.... If you scroll down a bit it will pop up...http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...lliam-embraces-sobbing-Grenfell-survivor.html
@avatar Is Adguard working with the mobile security company Lookout, or is Lookout skirting the laws of trademark infringement? https://plus.google.com/ LookoutIncSF https://adguard.com/images/logo_400x400.png https://www.google.com/imgres?imgur...d=0ahUKEwiyzYvZsNvUAhWkzIMKHajOBA0Q_B0IiQEwDw I know there is an obvious difference but given that they are competitors in the same market, the similarity may be too much. same market + same shape + same color scheme There are umpteen different possible basic shapes and logos and umpttizillion different color combinations, and Lookout just by chance happens to select the same exact shape and color combo. The odds of that happening by chance are astonomical, even given the fact that the shape is a "shield" and green is associated with "safe." Avira Browser Safety uses the same shape/outline but is a contrasting color (reddish orange) with an empty interior. uBlock also uses a shield but it is a clearly different type and the color and design of the interior couldn't be more different. Just an observation I found strange.
We don't, but this particular case hardly falls under the trademark infringement. Shield as a part of a logo is quite common, we didn't invent it. As I recall from talks with the trademark lawyer, suing for trademark violation is not easy even when the case is obvious ("Add Guard" for instance).
Is Adguard Russian? I had fellow admin remind me not use the DNS features because Adguard is Russian? Mind you, she's a DoD contractor, so I can see her concern when it comes to IA compliance.
Not sure if you can say that about software, but yeah, Adguard is a Muscovite . Btw, guys, we've recently created a public telegram channel, welcome if you want to chat with us or ask anything: https://t.me/adguard_en
Hi For better privacy I'm using Epic Privacy Browser and Brave Browser. Since both DON't support the addition of blocker/tracker extensions I have to use Adguard for Desktop for that purpose in addition to their built-in blockers. Adguard works fine so far with many other filters added. However, on a website forum I was unable to access its sub-forums although opening its homepage has no issue. Adguard hangs it. Disabling Adguard allows me to to access its sub-forums. The question I want to ask is can Adguard make an exclusion of this? If yes, where and how to add? Thanks
This is the website http://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/home Try to click the sub-forums and you'll see Adguard hangs it. The condition for this to happen is when I'm using Brave or Epic Privacy browser. These 2 browsers don't allow Chrome tracker/blocker extensions to be added. Using Iridium browser(with other Chrome blocker/tracker extensions) and Adguard(same filters) for desktop I have no problem. Other Chrome blocker/tracker extensions I'm using are uBlock Origin(with default filters), Privacy Badger, SafeScript, Pop-up Blocker Strict, Decentraleyes, CanvasFingerprintBlock, BitDefender TrafficLight and Avira Browser Safety. Thanks
@NiteRanger can confirm, this is a bug: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForWindows/issues/1817 I can even reproduce it with AG for Mac.
Adguard For Desktop ? yes, if you use the other features. Adguard browser extension? not necessary, but not troublesome.
uBlockOrigin & Adguard browser extension used together for testing purposes and found to have nearly the same detections.
Thanks. Main reason I was asking is for other apps that I use like News etc in Windows 10. Ads still show within these Windows Store apps so I thought to install Adguard in hopes that it would block these. To be honest, I would use Adguard more often but in my experience, does not block nearly as many ads as uBlockO does. Maybe there are better ways to configure it but this has just been my experience. Thanks man.
Ads are getting more and more dangerous, warns an antivirus and integrates Adguard 05 July 2017 on Adguard news https://blog.adguard.com/en/avira_partner/
I was trying AdGuard out, and Microsoft pushed out an update which updated me to Windows 10 Creators Edition version 1703. After that the AdGuard service would no longer start so I uninstalled AgGuard. I'm getting ready to install it again to see if it will work now, but maybe my trial has expired so i'm just going to do this for test purposes. I'm using Windows 10 X 64 Creators Edition version 1703.
