Netgear NightHawk R7000 routers now collect user data

    That article also pointed out its a common occurrence in ASUS too. Too bad! Even after reading the basic procedural instructions for disabling the "collection" of that data, I am not even close to certain that the flow of information stops. Fortunately, my router would see only the IP and MAC of my host OS machine (or their spoofed credentials). All downstream hardware and VM's disappear in encrypted tunnels. Since the hardware ID of the host means nothing regarding any workspace (Ever), any compromised info would be worthless. PfSense hardware just keeps looking better over time!
