Thanks a lot to you both for the suggestions. I'm not sure what way I'll go yet but looks like there are some options. I'd like to use the global hot key if I can get it to work. Will experiment and check back.
auto-type #365, is not auto-fill by my read #399, @allizomeniz comments were re auto-fill/click-to-fill. Perhaps to your liking, https://sourceforge.net/projects/webautotype/
Ah, sorry, I misread that. Anyways, auto-type is good enough for me. And an additional browser add-on could possibly increase the attack surface.
I've been using Roboform (local) for years with no problem. Easy autofill and other such features in browser. They had a thing with their lifetime licenses not really being lifetime which pissed a lot of people off but they do maintain the product.
Tried RoboForm on my PC and it seems to be a very good program from the brief trial I gave it. Tomorrow I'll install it on hers and try it out.
According to the "LastPassStatus"-twitter account, the issue with the LastPass connectivity (#408) has been fixed. And they fixed a Chrome extension issue and have released v4.1.52
Finally got RoboForm installed. So far it works like a charm. She wanted easy and it doesn't get much easier than autofill without asking. Thanks for the help.
See, I don't like that. If I go to Amazon to look for something, I don't want to be logged in so that every move I make can be tracked. Of course I have to log in when I buy something, but until then I don't want it.
The way it's set up you it doesn't automatically log you in, it only fills in the fields and you can either log in or not. You can also choose which sites you wanna use it on.
Whatever product that has the features that you do like is the one you should use. Being happy with your software is very important.
LastPass 4.x SUCKS! Ever since the Firefox extension updated I've an issue with one site that has two logins with slightly different URLs. I now have to force LastPass to fill the login for one URL as it will not auto-fill, but not on all machines and not on all browsers. There should be no inconsistencies! It should behave exactly the same on all machines and all browsers. I never had this problem with FF 3.x version.
I normally use LastPass but have a weird issue where it will not save the correct password for a site, instead it keeps saving the same password for every site. Due to that issue I been trying out Dashlane.
LastPass on my wife's laptop. ccleaner didn't help, new FF didn't help. The version of LP - newest. 2 or 3 days ago the plugin disabled logged out on its own, now the password she swears is correct results in the notification: Invalid Password. How can we help her?
I would check out this page first: https://lastpass.com/support.php?cmd=showfaq&id=375 The above page also links to the account recovery page at: https://lastpass.com/recover.php
Yeah, there's that Something I do when I'm having a problem entering a password is type it in Notepad first so I can actually see what I'm doing. Then I copy/paste it and clear the clipboard. Most of the time when the password "fails" it's because I've typed it incorrectly.
Unfortunately it isnt the case I tried the pass login on my laptop and the result was the same, alas... any other ideas?
My has received the email clearly stating it is actually the same password that she has always typed in, that was to be remembered by default in the plugin. Now it is Yellow - incorrect password. I have refreshed FF. No result. Help....please
