This is a totally biased "research". It's a survey conducted by Dimensional Research but commissioned by Ivanti who obviously sells products which aim to help admins to migrate to and manage Windows environments. (Source is this press release.) Lately all they talk about on their blog is Windows 10 management and migration.
You even need to register to a webinar at the end of May if you are actually interested in the "detailed findings"...

Saying that "[t]he vast majority of IT organizations (91%) have installed Windows 10" sounds great and creates nice headlines.
Yet the second sentence actually shows what's more of the truth: "a third of IT organizations (34%) have Windows 10 in production to some extent, only 10% are in full production while the majority (56%) are in the early stages, using Windows 10 in IT trial or other limited environments".

So all in all: This sounds like if you answered "yes" on the question "Have you or somebody else in your company at any given time installed or tried to install Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 at least once (even though it is not on any real production/test machine)?" then you were counted to the 91%.

That update took over an hour. Longest one yet.

Question for Windows 10 users? If "old" Home & Pro version no longer get updates - what's the difference from LTSB?

Microsoft wants users to upgrade. Not sure if new features are really all that compelling in the long run of things.

You only get the popup if you have Microsoft Office installed (which is why I've never seen it), and the article explains how to disable it.

There's no need to switch to Linux.

Also, believe it is only related to Office 2016. I have Office Pro 2010 installed and I have never seen the popup.

Microsoft will give valid licenses to people who upgrade to Windows 10... any edition, free upgrade or not.

Seems like the most important extensions for a lot of people, like ABP, Ghostery and uBlock are now finally available. I do wonder when they are going to release the EdgeHTML browsing engine for third parties to use it.

Microsoft Edge is still buggy even with improvements.

In Windows 10 LTSB, there's only the venerable Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 browser.

I've installed Firefox ESR to replace stock FF due to the LTS nature of Windows 10 branch.

That's the problem with Microsoft QA/QC over the Insider Ring build.

Granted its alpha software but still...
