Thanks Dan The Man! 3.59 smooth, very smooth.
Yes like Krusty already posted Norton doesn't like 3.58 either, but that not prob to me. It would be nice to see as you have mention think official VS-site update other version than 3.53, so people how watch that out doesn't know does it work like Win 10 CU and so on. So i quess it is pretty close to make there update stable release, what should be close enough, so you know man, stable should be close in the hands i think it could be already before it will be bumbed full of "additional" PRO features.

    Thanks C_64

Dan - this regularly happens to me.

I run the VS update from the download folder. There is a delay whilst Smartscreen interferes and says it cannot find any info, then VS is stuck behind Explorer and has to be fished out.

I didn't have to reboot after installing 3.59.

Hmmm, that is really odd... VS is showing the signature for that file for me. If someone else has the chance, can they test and see how it does for them? Thank you!

Yeah, great point, I agree... I went too long without updating 3.53, but I uploaded 3.59 this morning, so we are good to go. Thank you!

BTW, this is the same version that you guys are running so there is no reason to update.

Yeah, this is odd... it happens every once in a while. Something in the installer, which is built by Inno Setup, triggers a reboot. I have no idea what it is that triggers this, and I doubt there is a way to change it. But in general, users should not have to reboot after installing or upgrading VS. Thank you!

I looked at this last night, and I see what is wrong... it is an easy fix and will be included in the next version. Thank you!

I tried it again, just to make sure I was not dreaming last time. See screenshot.
This happens to me a lot. What could be the problem?

Hmmm, very odd. If you analyze that file with VirusTotal, do you get the following SHA-256 Hash?

    50c294b2b43f2d37fd660a2a70d116041feecf2a173cd751145e7daa2b8f4daa

Also, what is your "Format:" setting in Control Panel / Region (at the top)?

This is odd because VS reads the signature directly from the file. If you scan this file, then look at your DeveloperLog.log... is there a recent entry (within the last minute or so) that says "Exception"?

No problems here. VS states the file is signed and I get the same hash as you.
Even if I block all Internet access, VS is at least able to confirm the file is signed.

Not seeing that info on my Windows 10 :( Are you sure you don't have an Explorer addon giving you that information?

What if you right click the file in Explorer and view the properties of the certificate from there. Does it show as signed with a SHA256 certificate?

It's part of my Config Dan, I have to install W.A.R first then Install VS to avoid VS blocking it, so yes
I can confirm that VS does not play well with it.

I installed Winpatrol on two PCs with VS in auto and didn't get a peep. User log shows allowed.

I just posted a fake "VoodooShield Antivirus Support" link... it was funny. But the more I thought about it, it probably is not a good idea to post a link like that, so I removed it. The site is safe right now, but it might not be in the future.

Hehehe, as soon as I clicked "Post Reply", I realized there was a chance that people might call and mess with them (I know I am going to... I always do with these sites). If this were to happen, it would not be too difficult for them to get their revenge ;).

Yeah, at some point I will post on wilders, and we will figure out what all web apps we want to add, and Slimjet is one of the most requested, so I sure we will add it, thank you!
