https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/03/22/windows_red/ "Microsoft has a massive incentive to deliver a version of Windows 10 that China's government will accept."
I guess it is all in Mandarin and an Enterprise level license. No Home license (being gov.) but I can imagine pirated copies of the custom version being in huge demand. I wonder if there is a kill switch in this custom version like MS threatened when they first announced W10.
If such a secure version of Win 10 existed, and if in fact it was touted accordingly, then how should the rest of the world's Windows users feel? Who would willing accept the fact that they are using a purposefully weakened version of Windows? The corporate "blow back" on this should be game changing! Personally I don't believe that there is such a thing as a secure Windows OS.
The only thing known about it is that it has extra security features demanded by the Chinese government. What those are and how useful they're is unknown. Maybe it's just some small features like a preinstalled China-approved AV, maybe one of them is a 'remote administration'/backdoor. Who knows?
blind trust in any thing/one is not wise is there a way for an individual to buy the Enterprise version of Win 10 ? I would pay for that .
No, that's the precise problem with retail W10. At least with W7, you could get Ultimate if you opened your wallet sufficiently, which had all the Enterprise features and capabilities. As it is, I think they've managed a big own goal with SMB by taking this route, and it's had the useful effect for me to accelerate my migration away from Windows as any kind of host OS.
