I think it's cool that Opera is developed by a team of enthusiastic developers, the only problem is that for me it's still not good enough, and I don't really trust Qihoo.

On some systems, Opera runs normally after an update and the next time its launched, it hangs on loading seemingly forever.

Again, the culprit is the sandbox. Go to Programs, right click the Opera icon, select properties tab and in the target field after opera.exe add -no-sandbox, click Admin permissions when asked and then click OK.

When Opera is subsequently launched, it should boot up and run normally again.

Its a radical redesign of the browser, foreshadowing a future where we move from text to video and images. Come to think of it, it has some cool features but it can be limiting since you can't use extensions to expand the browser's capabilities. Not ready for prime time and most people will stick with mainstream Opera. Neon should appeal to geeks though.

It's an interesting project and I can imagine that the future of web browsing could work somehow similarly. Regardless on how it will end up with Neon, I really appreciate Opera's endeavor to bring up something new, fresh and uncommon. Opera has always been a pioneer in web browsing (remember Presto browser) and Neon is the undisputable proof.

NEON is alpha and not more.

Opera is working fine here - with sandbox. let me guess - you have another 3rd-party security software installed? Avast perhaps?

no autoplay html5 video here again - extension: "disable-html5-autoplay"
i visit some mag sites with video in it and it bores or costs bandwidth.

I have Bit Defender installed and for me Opera just won't load with sandbox. Works fine with the no-sandbox switch and so does Vivaldi which wouldn't even open.

Its been a known bug with Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers for years.

Two question - once I posted in the past, hope that now there is a solution:

    - it's possible to move the tabs bar on the bottom of the page ?
    - speed dial: it's possible to see the image in the thumbs - and not only the title - as in old Opera 12 ?

Thank you. I think that neither Chromium has the options that I'm looking for, is it ?

Yes, just click on the 'heart' and the last image you have navigated to will be the one shown in the speed dial.

Sorry, don't know that, but why not just Ctrl +/- to increase/decrease thumb size ?

Now, I miss only that someone has a trick to move on the bottom the tabs bar, and I'll move from 12 v to the new !

Looks like you will have to stay with 12, or try Vivaldi where you can move both the address bar and the tab bar to the top, bottom, or sides. (I prefer Opera for now).
