Hi all, built my own home server on 2016 and although I've got Defender installed by default I wanted to test some 3rd party AV's alongside a paid license of MBAM (web protection off).

I know that 360TS is fully compatable as is Tencent's PC Manager but is anyone aware of any others that would be worthwhile testing?

BTW Comodo is not an option.

    Thank ee all in advance!

For a server, windows defender, MBAM and a good HIPS/antiexe would be more than enough.
Take into account that you are not going to install apps normally, or do any browsing, so by having an HIPS in lock down mode you will ensure that nothing changes in the server, and remember to do backups and use a limited account.

For 3rd party security AV in server you probably would need to pay, a cheap option could be https://www.secureaplus.com/download/

What's the problem with comodo as a HIPS?

I'm using it as my workstation (HDMI to TV with BT kb/mouse) and as a NAS (2016 Storage Server build) come Kodi player

Played with Comodo plenty of times in past and used the install/config guide to setup, as posted in here.
Just find it a tad over complicated and have no real fath in it due to not being independantly tested/verified.

Comodo's CIS isn't actually compatible with WS16 so I'll probably have a skeg at 360TS/TC

Eset AV Business (has minimum 5 licenses=clients). can use the "Eset Remote Administrator Server" (ERA, current 6.4.29.0) with that key. has really whipping features. same possible with the business build instead server.

ESET isn't free though is it, to my knowledge?
