Few encryption, antivirus and VPN service providers don't give any details of their company or the team behind the product. Recently I came across a secure VPN service known as LimeVPN. Though the feedback by users is good but their website has no company information and team details.

Some companies intentionally don't provide office details. I came across Emsisoft. The founder is well-known malware researcher and they have recently added team details but office address is not there.

Whether it is safe to subscribe or buy products of companies where company details are not mentioned?

Don't know about the first one, but the posting about Emsisoft jogged my memory. It was founded as a virtual company. The employees are based around the world.

I don't mind the model at all, especially for software companies. Due diligence would include checking their reputation, website, support channels, forum, etc...
