    Per Woody:

    I go with the "compromised" assumption. And it wouldn't be the first time it happened.

    There is only one source reporting the Flash Update for W10 and 8.1 for today, Feb 21.
    It is for Enterprise Clients only and will probably be out of band.

    Update: Many other sources are now reporting that this update is currently available. When the report first came out it said that only some Enterprise Clients received an email about the update. It is now confirmed that it is not Enterprise only.

    I just got this kb890830 MSRT. This kb number seems to keep coming back for some reason.

    Probably because MSRT is released monthly.

    If you want to disable it permanently put this in registry:

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\MRT]
    "DontOfferThroughWUAU"=dword:00000001

    Woody once said to run the msrt because it does more stuff than you might think. I did a search on that number and saw that it ran many times before and caused some problems for people.

    I don't see much benefit using it. It detects only small part of malware families. If you're running updated real-time AV, MSRT probably won't find anything.

    I had connection issues after installing this months windows 10 updates, after the mandatory reboot no apps could connect to the internet, did the holy trinity of ipconfig /release /flushdns & /renew then rebooted & everything could connect.

    Once again the cumlative update failed to install. It wasn't really expecting it to. I hid it with Microsoft's tool to show or hide updates, to prevent Windows Update downloading it again, to prevent Windows Update from finding and trying to install the update again.

    It happened to me in the past. If you wait a couple of hours and try again it should install without blocking or failing...
