I'm using the following updated anti-malware programs on a windows 7 premium pc.
    1. Emsisoft AM
    2. Malwarebytes (Premium) 3.0.6
    3. Bitdefender Anti-Ransomware (Free)

Every time i start up my computer, the "BD Anti-Ransomware" icon is missing from the system tray. I'm able to to initialize it by going to, Start, All Programs & clicking BD Anti-Ransomware. Even though the above works i feel that i should not have to do this! I also made sure that "show icon and notifications" are appropriately displayed in the "Notification Area Icons" list. BitDefender is not displayed within "msconfig, system configuration, startup settings. Any assistance concerning the above would be most appreciated.

Go to settings and make sure on is checked for when Windows starts, minimize to tray on startup and minimize to tray on close.

    Hope this helps.

Bitdefender Anti-Ransomware isn't really worth it, it offers very basic protection.

One can install AppCheck AR to fill in the gaps and VS will provide AE protection.

I uninstalled Bitdefender AR & replaced it with the free AppCheck AR & everything is working fine "at this time". Thanks to everybody for their assistance.

Why are you on an old version of mbam?, there's been many improved updates since 3.0.6.
