    I have a strange issue with privazer recently, it just hangs will cleaning like 40% only things I have really changed is updating to newer versions.

    I did some fault testing and it seems enabling "index" under traces in MFT causes the issue, disabling it everything works fine.

    Any idea? I suspect its probably something my end am doing wrong !

    Re the PageFile

    If you have enough spare RAM, you can Safely disable it. I have Always done so since 98SE days with NO issues, EVER !

    @Paranoid Eye,

    cleaning MFT indexes may cause the program to appear to hang as it is a huge work.
    Do you have any error messahe (click "history" on the bottom-right corner)?

    Hi, those EventVwr logs are not a mega issue, or urgent, but if you can find a way of safely deleting them, then great. As an Option to or not, might be better for some people.

    Also, how about my suggestion a long while ago that you may have overlooked, or forgotton about ? This was to be able to select/deselect INDIVIDUAL items after a scan, for deletion or not.

    As always, Thanx for the continued updates etc.

    Regards

    Does the command line hide the GUI? Can we make it silent and command line? Also how do we use the donors portable version with our registration info?
    Thanks

    Why can't I select this directory? (I tried the user-data too). I really want to use Privazer to clean this profile / chromium.

    @ExtremeGamerBR,

    you should have a directory called 'profile' containing your Chromium profile.

    For instance, when using chrlauncher, this 'profile' directory is located here :
    chrlauncher-2.3-bin\32\profile\Default

    Can you check please?

    @defconoi,
    /HIDE /SILENT options will come in a next release

    @to all,

    You are right. But I changed my Chormium profile location, so this is how it is:

    So, my profile are exactly like this command line in chrlauncher:

    Can you make PrivaZer clean this location?

    Could you rename 'user-data' into 'profile' ? ...and modify your command line?

    Hi Guys, I have a question about Privazer.

    I have the Donor version, and since some time ago I noticed a change in the behaviour. I now have Privazer icon sitting in the Taskbar. Well I really don't want it sitting there. I am quite sure it didn't used to sit there, and in a recent update this was a new behaviour. I use Privazer as an on-demand cleaner, and I don't need it in the Taskbar, and don't want it sitting in my Taskbar. I have paid for it so I don't need to be reminded of it 'advertising'itself. It is brilliant software and I love it, but I don't need to see the icon all the time. Is there some way to remove the icon.

    Also the behaviour, I only want it as an on-demand cleaner, can I have it so that it cleans and then closes away again please. Now it is sitting in my Taskbar, and if I right-click on the icon and > Quit, it asks me further if I want to close it. I am sure this did not use to be the the behaviour. Now it has become annoying.

    Please can I have it as a background utility which is there for me when I want it, not as a pest that it has become?

    If it was the free version I can understand why you want it in the user's face, but I have paid for it because I love it, but I don't need it in my face all the time.

    Many thanks fore your interesting reply, Chigwells.

    @Krusty,
    I'm working on it.

    @Chigwells
    did you check "automatic cleanups" at the bottom-left corner of the main PrivaZer window?

    Hello and thanks for your reply. No I didn't, I never ever had that checked. However, I just noticed that if I have the Privazer window open, and close it via the red X button top right of the window, Privazer closes completely. However, if I run an on-demand secure delete (via right-click > 'Delete without a trace'), when Privazer is NOT open, that is when the icon stays in the taskbar.

    So for clarity I would like to modify my original statement: Normally I do not have Privazer running (and so the icon is not visible in the taskbar). When I run a secure delete (of some file or folder) via right-click, then Privazer window opens, I click on Start, and it runs the task, and then the Privazer window automatically closes (because I have 'Close when completed' ticked). However, at this point, the Privazer icon remains in the taskbar. This is what I am unhappy with, I have no need for the Privazer icon to remain in the taskbar.

    I would like that Privazer just closes and goes away again, rather than the icon staying in taskbar after the program has deleted said file or folder, and the Privazer window has automatically closed. I love the software and use it often, but this new behavior is unwanted. Could I please have the icon closing when the program has done its job.

    Hope I've described it clearer now.

    I have a Win8.1 laptop, and in Control Panel > Notification Area Icons, I have the checkbox by 'Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar' ticked.

    Thanks!

    Is there a reason why Privazer can only wipe once using 0's? I want the ability to wipe once using random data.
