Actually it turned out to be anti.exe VoodooShield blocking update even when in 'Disable / Install Mode'. But this is fixed with VoodooShield v 3.51 onwards.

You are better off opening an issue requesting this @github. They have a tendency to skip posts and I see yours was skipped too.
One more thing I'd like to mention is that we were working on v6.2 in parallel so the new beta version will be available next week. Much more visible changes this time. Settings export and import. Huge improvement of the filtering log and filters editor: http://imgur.com/a/vl4fi http://imgur.com/a/X5umK http://imgur.com/a/5ZDKz Also, we're planning to add a few new options to the Stealth Mode, including fingerprinting detection and blocking. Stay tuned
do you want me to try it on my current build with logging? I tried it on the last two with same results. have not installed this new version yet.
Ok I see now I had forgot one main setting. The part where you scroll all the way down and tick the user. It works fine.
It happens, but obviously not on purpose. Thanks for pointing out @Windows_Security post. In theory, you should not see a blocked element so it'd be hard to make this mechanism generic. However, there is one thing I was thinking about lately, which has something in common with your feature request. We need to have some sort of a "conditional" blocking rules when you can have something blocked by default and unblock it on demand. For instance, Facebook comments. By default Social filter does not block them as comments is a part of the website content. What if we could block them by default and show an "unblock FB comments" button instead?
Question. Does your app for Android block ads within apps as well? Or do we still need root access to handle that?
Yes, after update password protection is not working. I again set password but Adguard doesn't ask for password.
I am only talking about media content. When AdGuard extension block is, I just get a black window, not the video playing. When I right click and inspect the black frame in my browser, I see what third party media content is blocked, next I click on the magnify glass (look) icon of Adguard, select blocked selct box, look for that specific third party media content and make it an allow exception. I like the idea of a conditional block set, but would like to apply this on filters. Mark a filter "always" or "conditional". People could use the minimal DNS-filter (mark it always) and set Privacy Filter and English plus Dutch (in my case) as conditional.
Extensions are also disabled after system restart...you enable them, restart the system & extensions are disabled.
After i updated to 1629 today, WSA started to monitor the new app because it was new and not whitelisted yet i suppose. I had to allow the new exe in WSA and then delete all the monitored files.
I think he means like the extension for all browsers like the Adguard “extension" page but it isn't anywhere to be found..weird.
Check that your user account is checked in the parental control. The problem is that every time it looks different. Video player does not consist of one web request. On the contrary, it may send dozens requests and blocking any of them may end breaking the player. What's worse, unlike blocking images, for complicated players we often cannot connect a request to the player itself. If we could, AG would have hidden the player instead of breaking it. I am thinking about a more granular approach, like that FB comments example. It is not about making the whole filter conditional, but having a conditional set of rules.
With default settings, it is rather stable. However, of course, using the stealth mode increases chance of a website misbehavior.
I like the granularity provided by Disconnect/Ghostery/Avast Online Security by grouping block rules into categories. By decomposing filter lists into groups the usability would highly increase. An example: a lot of websites use Google-Analytics to enable extra's (like coupon's, discounts and bonus media material). Same applies for blocking social media stuff. A lot of filters stupidly block them, while in most cases you only want them to block when they are third party. A lot of media material is stored on CDN content delivery networks to improve load times. The down side is that most of these content delivery networks also provide user tracking services and therefore are blockec by most filters. I simply mentioned the example on filterlistt level because it is a lot of work to decompose large filterlist into categories and providing a strict mode or oprional allow for these categories. i woud applaud the idea of decomposing filterlists into categories and offer an temporary allow of some categories. For average users to make it simple to use, Adguard should have three simple modes buttons: Grey = disable for this website, GREEN = normal (strict) mode, YELLOW = reload in compatibility mode (temporarily allowing some categories), RED = block this website and for malware websites. Having an "optional allow" of Website Analytics, Social Media and Content Delivery networks greatly improves usability and compatibility. Extra granularity is a great Idea, keep on the good work .
