Yep, ERP is very lite on resources. Will be a good combo. :D

Seems like a lot of you are using VoodooShield. Would you recommend that vs. something like Zemana?

Completely different functions, but I would answer "yes" anyway.

Understood. I can'a afford both at the moment so was curious as to which is better based upon that. I already use ESET and was looking for something to compliment it. Thanks.

There is a free version of VooodooShield which offers the same level of protection as the Pro version. you just can't change many settings. Dan, the developer, has offered Wilders' members a free Pro licence if you send him an email.

ZAM might be good but VS is better.

Thanks for your reply. Not sure who Dan is but will have a look around the forums.

    Cheers!

You definitely won't be disappointed with VS Free. Between myself, @Peter2150, @Lucent Warrior, and many others testing this product versus various malware/ransomware, I believe it is one of the few products that has a 100% detection rate (as would any effective anti-executable).

Tried AVG free with my combo
    It feels rather heavy.

    I'll try Avast free.

Exactly, no need for annoying UAC alerts on a heavily guarded machine. :thumb:

    Windows 7 x64 Ultimate 4GB RAM Core i3
    Standard User Account
User Account Control - max, with password

    TinyWall

    Zemana AL with pandora on

MalwareBytes AntiExploit with additional shields for some routine apps

    Avast Free:
    • reputation services on
    • CyberCapture (allways block it) on
    • Hardened mode off
    • Scan for PUPs

This setup seems to be rather light on my PC.

You're very welcome. Glad you found it helpful.
An alternative, which I personally use, is use bcdedit to create a copy of the default boot entry that starts windows in safe mode. I actually create multiple entries, one with and without networking and one command prompt only.
Doing it this way you don't have to replace the new graphical boot menu with the old legacy text based one.
