It's not an error sound, it's how you can toggle VS to on or off mode without going to the VS context menu. So just Right click on the Shield a choose an option from the VS context menu.

Having problems here - useage jumped to 100% after installing 3.51 what did I do wrong - should I have uninstalled 3.50 first? Update - I uninstalled and re-installed and all is fine now. Not sure what my problem was. Anyway it seems to be fixed now. Sorry for posting so fast.

No problems with spike in usage after update. Instead of downloading from here, I just applied update from interface. Then reboot machine. Here is current RAM use with nothing open.

This was waiting when I booted. No problem with the install, and memory usage is OK.

    Hi Dan

How are you doing...other then continuing to make VS shine? ;)

v3.51 installed here (over the top) with no issues and seems to be running fine with 20Mb spread across the TWO processes. Will keep an eye out and try to take some readings at timed intervals to see what gives...but so far so brilliant...nice one! :D

    Regards, Baldrick

VS 3.51 doing great here. Running around 39MB total usage and no problems after update on an HP with Win 8.1. No trouble with VS 3.50 either. Both have been rock solid.

I just wonder why my usage is always going up over time? It's not a big deal but just wondering.

    Just as a comparison.

Mine has been sitting at 29.0MB (Sometimes a bit less) / 17.5MB since update and reboot. 37/66 seems absurdly high.

Edit: My numbers are actually kind of high too compared to some of these posts.
