Best firewall: Sophos v Comodo

Comodo came out way ahead on the latest tests of the Firewall Challenge project. What's the better free firewall, Comodo or Sophos?

 

All firewalls are equally good, both are based on Windows filtering platform

Could you post the link of the test?

inb4 thread closed. CF's sandbox is in a security league of its own. Sophos doesn't compare.

comodo sandbox could also be pain, i prefer sandboxie. i dont like blown up tools - a firewall should be a firewall, no more.

If you are talking about Matousec's Proactive Security 64 Challenge - the test results are pretty much obsolete by now. Plus, the project is defunct.

 

So are most of its top scoring performers; Outpost, Private Firewall, Jetico, VirusBuster .................

 

And it was never really a firewall test in the first place, mostly a HIPS test.

And the winners were always Comodo and Emsisoft Online Armor until Matousec ditched OA for some shady so-called "financial" reason, which benefited Comodo all the way...
