    Hello,

Are you running any imaging software & Shadow Defender?

    What imaging software?

Whats your setup for imaging software & Shadow Defender to use both effectively & avoid issues?

    Thank You

When not shadowed Shadow Defender is just bits and bytes on the disk. I've never tried imaging when shadowed as I can see all kinds of issues. So what I do is take a quick incremental before shadowing. That way if there is any issue coming out, I am prepared.

On my Vista I'm using SD and Keriver 1-Click...both are on demand and both are used for different actions and effects. So...I've never suffered issues which could be the result of some incompatibility between them.

I use EaseUS Todo Backup Workstation.

I will use Shadow Defender on-demand only.

I backup C System Partition & backup is on D Data Partition.

Suppose, in Shadow Defender, I exclude EaseUS backup folder on D Partition.
If I am running Shadow Defender And Todo backup starts, backup will be created successfully?
    Any other probs, etc...?

    Or

If I disable scheduled backup And run Shadow Defender & after doing the stuffs, restart system And enable scheduled backup --- Is this better & no probs?

All I can say is be careful. Yes you should disable imaging or avoid when it's running. I wouldn't image in shadowmode. Have no clue what might happen.

I dont know the prob was due to Shadow Defender or not But here is what happened...

I installed Shadow Defender & restarted the system & disabled "start with windows".
I didn't used Shadow Defender at all.
    I installed Todo Workstation.

On 3rd system start...I was browsing & got blue screen mentioned sys.io or system.io or something like this error.
I restarted the system & got boot config data missing or error.

I tried Todo USB recovery & entered Todo recovery But then decided to use Win 10 USB.
I tried Win 10 USB & selected "startup repair" & it solved the issue.

Well I can't speak to anything other then Win 7 and Macrium. But I have successfuly imaged while shadowed with Macrium and then exited SD. Restoring the image worked and produced the results expected.

I didn't even used Shadow Defender, only installed & unticked "start with windows" option.

Dont know the prob was due to SD or not?

    Anyway, uninstalled SD now.
