Sandboxie I don't use all the time. EAM / NVTERP and AG are resident and never had a problem with it and they run fine.

Pure Paranoia ? I don't think so, Id rather prevent then have to heal later on.

But I just was asking if WAR is a good Alternative for AG.

if anyone has overkill, I do lol

I personally think AG is really good. in my setup it is much quicker at catching new files then the rest of my apps.

I love AG, but the new AG is subscription based and thus looking for an alternative, thus thinking of WAR or something else (which has Lifetime time license) to replace it.

Have other had a similar problem with Winpatrol/Ruiware?

I purchased Winantiransom (3 lifetime licences) with a money back guarantee. WAR had unfortunately too many FP's to be used on the famify PCs.

I asked my money back. They didn't answer to this email. I sent another one. They finally answered and unactivated my license (WAR stopped working as it should have). This all happened in the end of November.

They however, did not give me my money back. (I had to wait for a while to see my December and January VISA logs).

I sent 6 days ago an email and asked, where my money is. No answer. The company seems to have a very low moral. (Actually, this is also seen in the hype they have on WAR.) This is very different from the one Bill Pytlovany used to have (I have had Winpatrol a LONG time).

It seems I have to contact my credit card company (VISA) :(

Bret Lowry, the founder of Ruiware, now contacted me. He apologized and promised to act ASAP.
This happened after I sent another email asking them to answer also here at Wilders :)
    Bret may comments this later.

It is not terribly well rated for effectiveness, although it comes from the developer of WinPatrol, which I love and have used for many years

it is pretty much another anti exe Rasheed. Not just antiransomeware as cruelsister pointed out and that is why people say it has false positives. All good antiexe's give a popup on new exe's.

Well, officially it's the behavior blocker (based on AI), which does the decision making whether some app is malware or not. But yes, some people are a bit skeptical about it.

Tomin, all I know is it is not on my computer. Maybe a screen resolution issue? I don't know

I stop the WinPatrol WAR (formerly WinAntiRansom) always, in order to I can start the ESET Banking and Payment protection, despite to all the ESET program is set as "allow for this Signature", but not used. Sad. I wrote to the WinPatrol Support <support@winpatrol.com>, but did not correct the problem.

Screen resolution bug would be my guess too, as I don't experience it either.
