    If using Chrome do you really need malware filters? If so, which ones? Ta.

    No ads whatsoever for me, using ublockO (used as ad blocker only - no dynamic filtering) combined with uMatrix, with redundant 3rd-party filters in uBlock disabled. Settings for uMatrix as:

    Code:
    * * * block
    * * cookie block
    * * css allow
    * * frame block
    * * image allow
    * * plugin allow
    * * script block
    EDIT

    in Chromium settings I choose when to allow plugins

    For me I use Woolyss Chromium and turn off all call back to google. I also use --no-pings and --disable-logging in the command line of the properties icon for launch chromium. So in my case having some malware filters is useful however for desktop system I don't use because I have PfSense on the WAN with Adguard DNS in use. But for laptop sure!

    AllMusic have started displaying an annoying adblock message which cannot be simply dismissed.

    Example.

    Capture.PNG

    Weird, of course I could block it on demand, but I wonder how the ads managed to slip through. And what about the anti-adblockers, can you block that?

    @The Seeker - caused by script from "www.allmusic.com" you have to turn that field in extended view to red.
    or determine the script with the netlogger.

    but they block right mouse click to "examine"

    ... no ads on investopedia or cnbc for me - you have to list your settings here.

    No issues for me. No Ads at all..
    I am able to watch with out any issues..

    All i had to do is add below rule for cnbc to play the videos..

    My Config: Med Blocking mode + Dan Pollock + Pete Lowe Ad tracking Server list + default uBlock Filters + ignored generic cosmetic filters (So, Only 19,110 network filters + 765 cosmetic filter)

    Edit: I am on Google Chrome. If you are using any chromium based derivative, i would suggest to install uBlock Origin Extra. No Anti Adblocker is necessary (at least for me)

    My setup is uMatrix + uBlockO. No problems with kiplinger.com, and with cnbc.com I needed to allow some content for theplatform.com and js.cnbcfm.com for the video to play without the warning message. Sometimes I just can't be bothered with trying to figure these stubborn sites. If the site doesn't interest me that much, i usually just move on.

    Not entirely sure what you mean by this.

    Go to the matrix ("extended view") of uBlock and block "www.allmusic.com" (now the block turns red)

    But for reading User Reviews on the website XHR-requests are needed.
    Instead of blocking www.allmusic.com (this is blocking scripts and XHR-Requests) you can block inline-scripts.
    Both variants have the same effect (no ads).
    Code:
    www.allmusic.com * inline-script block

    Weird, I guess I will have to enable extra ad-blocking filters. I'm currently using:

    - Peter Lowe’s Ad and tracking server list
    - Fanboy’s Annoyance List‎
    ‎- Anti-Adblock Killer
    - EasyList

    That might work. I use all the 3rd-party filters in uMatrix and only easylist and easyprivacy in uBlockO. Quite often, though, with those anti ad blocking sites is you have to plod along before identifying and addressing the scripts that cause the annoying pop-ups. it can be a PITA but if you really want to view the site it might be worth the time and effort.

    Yes, it's a bit annoying. I think I will just start boycotting sites. BTW, I have another weird problem on Yahoo Finance. All of a sudden I can't see "My Portfolio & Markets" anymore with uBlock enabled. Does anyone know what's blocking it? See screenshot for more info.

    use the netlogger and see what files have been blocked and why. or wait for another user with a yahoo-lol-account

    Does Anti-Adblock Killer|Reek in uBlock Origin still require "monkey" scriptmanager?

    A scriptmanager is still required for this list.

    I will try that. And to clarify, you don't have to be logged in to Yahoo, so anyone can test this. Just type in the quotes from the screenshot, and you should see a watch-list of stocks in the top right corner of the screen.

    Can you please provide a specific url. I've tried different approaches on finance.yahoo.com but don't get the what's in your screenshot. Otherwise, what @Brummelchen advises is probably best. You could also be in Advanced mode in uBlocko and try enabling blocked domains followed by a refresh until you see the content you expect.

    You should see it in the right top-corner of the screen, see screenshot. If you don't, then it's being blocked. This problem started a week ago, and I don't believe it's because my own filters.

    you need scripts from yimg.com (with all all subs) and have cookies allowed for "finance.yahoo.com" ("prf" stores viewed charts)
