    Hi,

The Opera browser's built-in ad block feature has been out in the stable channel for quite some time now.
    • What's your opinion (if you have one)?
    • Do you know of any recent tests or reviews?
    • What do you sacrifice (if any) using this feature compared to an browser extension?

I think it is not too bad. It blocks a pretty amount of ads. However there is a room and still quite a big for improvements. Especially in its customization. Foremost they should include the list of various advert filters (like uBlock or Adguard) for easy selection.

    I agree with every word.

Talking about speed. I've ran some tests yesterday against Adguard and uBlock Origin and I must say it was quite hard to tell any difference, specially against uBlock Origin (even with more lists activated than the native blocker). But, I'm not a tester and just compared the network loading time in the dev tools. Anyway, my conclusion so far is that you might as well keep Adguard or uBlock Origin because the customization part is way more user friendly. Both extensions also provides more services than just blocking ads.

The VPN has been down for several days now in the x64 developer. States "we are working on it!" Anyone know what is going on? Thank you!

ucant do anything with this. it only looks good thats all. U cant even put the site on fullscreen. There are literealy no options at all and no extension support. But Opera have say it is just a browser to show of for futures they maybe add to the normal opera. they dont want to make a to a full new browser at the moment.

OK, so you didn't see any groundbreaking features. Perhaps I will check it out, but I have a feeling it will be crappy.

No nothing new at all. just the standard chrome features. in fact chrome has way more futures at the moment than the "new" opera.
