I see this availlable on SharewareOnSale and cant find much for recent reviews or info... is it a good program, recommended? http://sharewareonsale.com/s/unhackme-sale Thanks
They seem to give it away fairly often. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/search/3734349/?q=Unhackme&o=relevance https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/regrun-unhackme-update-and-discussion-thread.353036/
Anybody who tries this better know whats programs are on your system. Mine said alot of good progams were bad, so you better know what your doing.
Thanks for the replies guys... Im trying it now and as reported in other threads posted by Krusty there are lots of fps so caution is needed. It has found some pups remnants though which I was happy to get rid of, and seems very light on my system. Im gonna keep it for now and see how it goes.
Thanks for posting. I've used UnhackMe in the past (another giveaway) and it usually requires a license to be purchased after some fixed period - say 30 days or something. I'm not sure how long it will keep working before the free license expires. Anyway I installed UnhackMe just for a single use just to run checks and it found and removed a hidden file. Removed,Unwanted Software Files,"App4870.ConfCollection.bin","C:\USERS\CHRIS\APPDATA\ROAMING\APP4870.CONFCOLLECTION.BIN","" As far as I can work out it was just a leftover from some software that I had uninstalled. RE: False positive issues. It's easy to assign detections as false positives so that they are ignored. The UnhackMe interface is confusing until you get used to it. The same goes for Regrun Reanimator (comes with UnHackMe or can be downloaded separately. Note: You don't get to see all Reanimator options until you [X] out of the main window and this is not obvious to a new user. Close this window: Then you get this: From there you can acivate/ deatcivate Partisan and run scans amongst other things.
Don't know about the realtime protection capabilities as I've never actually made use of realtime protection.
