Some pretty sweet security mitigations coming for Edge users in the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update:

I am not a Microsoft Edge fan myself. But this is good stuff for general security and I am also hoping that some of these mitigations will have the possibility of extending to protect other browsers and programs.

  6. Well I am using Edge as my trusted website browser on Windows 10. With uBlockOrigin available and just two third party filters (adguard spyware and disconnect malware) and RFG enabled through registry it is a decent alternative to Chromium nosync (also it starts a tad faster as Chrome on my PC).

Edge is and will be (out of the box) the most secure browser on the market. No one can deny this fact.

At some point we will need to create a thread for Creators Update, similar to how there is a thread for discussing Anniversary Update. But I don't know whether it is appropriate to create that Windows 10 Creators Update thread now to discuss Insider builds of the upcoming Creators Update or if that thread should be created on the date that Microsoft releases it.

Anyway, as we know, 14986 was recently made available to Slow ring Insiders which signifies at least more stability and reliability in comparison to Fast ring builds. Microsoft is expected to release ISO's of 14896 this week (as they usually do when builds reach Slow ring) but has not yet officially released the ISO's on the Windows Insider web site.

But rest assured, Microsoft has certainly compiled and created those ISO's. No need to bother with messy ESD to ISO conversion...

A user rg-adguard has updated his Techbench Dump site to include downloads for 14986 ISO's direct from Microsoft. Legitimate ISO's direct from Microsoft servers utilizing Microsoft's own Techbench scripting (albeit with addition of scooping up 14986 ISO's from MS server).

Apart from an odd spelling mistake, it's != its and such, it's a good article.
If there's one thing Microsoft does well, it's backward compatibility.

So is this "web-based privacy dashboard" just a means to "review/manage" data that has already been received by Microsoft servers? Or is Microsoft moving should-be-client-side-settings-and-UI up to their servers?
