Do you have Delay Real-time Protection when Malwarebytes Starts enabled?

Will there be a setting to manually update? I ask because automatic updates might collide with WindowsUnexpectedUpdates, or expected but need a restart. Last thing we need is a conflict at such time. Pro Windows 10 users can delay restarts. Home users cannot.

I don't have a sandbox to test in, but am watching, and haven't found anything related to what I ask. Over on tenforums somebody wrote that the update will come in at startup. That gives me cold shivers :)

Looking forward to this combined version since I have lifetime license to MBAM and not sure if lifetime to MBAE. How can I recheck that?

Your first screenshot shows protection is delayed 120 seconds!

I see what you talking about.

    I'll turn it off.

Is it going to be fixed or is that it?

    Thanks

Good question! I'm just a user like yourself and have no idea what the Dev's have in mind. FWIW I also see the warning and that setting wouldn't help because I've disabled Exploit Protection for compatibility with HitmanPro.Alert. :doubt:

O.K. I turned off Delay and shut down the computer.

Took a looooong time to shut down.

Booted up the computer and brought up Malwarebytes and that was slow to load BUT no messages at all.

Tomorrow I'll go to the Lab and change that computer as well.

Thanks guys. I'm going to try shutting down again.

    Final report.

Shut down was normal but once again Malwarebytes took quite a while to load.

    Pleasant dreams.

Sir, in my books you are certainly entitled to "Senior Moments". ;)

If I'm lucky enough to live a few more years I would hope that I too will be forgiven for small moments where I might lose concentration.

    All the best, jadinolf. :thumb:

Why so many performance issues if the av engine is exactly the same? Only due to the antiransomware module?

When do you plan to upgrade the av engine to improve the poor detection shown in test? Maybe you cab buy voodoo ai engine :isay:

It does detect and protect against JS (and many more like HTA, etc.) non-PE scriptors/downloaders via the anti-exploit's Application Control Module. For ex if you test by executing the JS from a browser or email client you should see the anti-exploit blocking it. Just like with MBAE standalone. More info on real-world testing here:

MB 3.0 keeps "checking" for updates but apparently cant find any, or it gets lost on the way. Three times now I've had to "Quit" MB and restart it again, on two machines... My third machine has been shut down for the night.

Can you please PM or email me your MBAMSERVICE.LOG file? (those of you with the checking for update issue).

    Thanks!

I reinstalled the software and everything seems fine for now except for a bug in the anti exploit module; I cant delete or edit protected applications.

A service log would help tremendously. Sorry for the issues you're experiencing.
