what you mean by "i can't reformat" ; i guess you can't "use" the Refresh/Reset method. so just format it the old way : insert the install disk/usb and clean install the OS.

well done, enjoy your OS, and use glary's utilities lightly, they are known to mess up systems.

FWIW, I've used CCleaner for quite a few years without any issues. I only use the "cleaner" function - but NEVER the registry cleanup option, as that part of the CCleaner application has been known to cause problems. (I always download the latest version of CCleaner from the Piriform website).

    Just my two-cents worth.

I use Ccleaner since years, never had one issue with it (even with the reg cleaner). Ccleaner is heavily supported and get a lot of feedbacks from users so it is just the safest cleaner on the market.

While I don't use CCleaner to clean my computers, every now and then I install it to test it. The registry cleaner in CCleaner has minor issues with false positives in Windows 10. When do a scan it finds a single false positive, so I can see that it has the portential to cause problems in rare cases. But, there's usually no need to ever clean the registry anyway, and CCleaner will be safe to use if only use the junk cleaner.

It's a lot better than Auslogics Regsitry Cleaner which finds well over 18,000 (yes - eighteen thousand) false positives on my main laptop.

I had problems only once while using CCleaner (it was not compatible with latest version of Chrome) but it was fixed promptly. I use it to clean registry once a month and find it very conservative. Before cleaning I also check what it finds to be sure it doesn't delete something important.
