Introducing AX64 Time Machine - hybrid imaging/snapshot software

I gather the company is belly up.

 

Most likely non-payment of web services. The Australian parent company, Bluebird IT PTY LTD, is in the middle of a "strike-off" action (Australia's version of an insolvency process). The action was executed on September 6th. If the company doesn't respond in 60-days (November 6th) to the action request, they'll no longer be a registered company in Australia... there's been no response to date.

Their "Strike-off" was initiated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)

Circumstances in which the ASIC may deregister (aka "strike-off")...

1. ASIC may decide to deregister a company if:
(a) the company's annual return is at least 6 months late; and
(b) the company has not lodged any other documents under this Law in the last 18 months; and
(c) ASIC has no reason to believe that the company is carrying on business.

...or

2. ASIC may also decide to deregister a company if the company is being wound up and ASIC has reason to believe that:
(a) the liquidator is no longer acting; or
(b) the company's affairs have been fully wound up and a return that the liquidator should have lodged is at least 6 months late; or
(c) the company's affairs have been fully wound up under Part 5.4 and the company has no property or not enough property to cover the costs of obtaining a Court order for the company's deregistration.

Bottom-line... they're probably toast at this point. Knowing Nathan (Waj), he'll re-surface elsewhere... he's done it before. Maybe the new company will have a new product... possibly called "Real Copy REDUX."

If you are referring to the Rabbit saga, I would rather call it "Unreal Non Copy AT REST".

 

Checked on the maps, per your instructions, and shows a narrow street with miniscule dwellings, barely more than shacks, and the one in question (am guessing that's it) with a "for rent" sign in front. Now understand, and do feel sorry for the developers who likely were poor people working from home on a laptop computer, or maybe only on an iPad, at the same time shooing away squalling dirty diapered babies and hungry pets. Vs what we might have imagined as tuxedo wearing executives in a penthouse office tower. Plainly these folks must have done the best they could with whatever few dollars they could take from the food and milk allotment and apply to this project. And here we were beating up on them, When is this going to be ready? Why are you taking so long? etc etc. When for them is was a Bob Cratchet and Tiny Tim situation.Sad when you think of it.

ps Why was it called "Bluebird"? Will bet you! was named after their little parakeet that amused the children and kept them from thinking so much about empty stomachs.

 

haha - just fyi - this type of shack will set you back easily a cool Million $ in that location in Sydney

Acting of developers?

 

Possibly, but it would be the only thing they're "acting" on. There's been no communication with them since May 2016 on Facebook, December 2015 on Twitter and none via email in a long time.

I guess they take loooooong vacations in Australia.

I don't know why but for some odd reason I totally expect Isso to surface in a different capacity with a completely new agenda of some completely new project at some point somewhere else in the forums again.

Ah I can just see them now driving in new luxury cars with the hottest babes (and way more), giving us the finger.

 

I have 2 licenses for 1.x and a Home Pack (4 PC) for 2.x

Looked like a very promising product... was just waiting for it to become what I would consider "reliable" (like Drive Snapshot or Image For Windows)

But, I don't feel bad about it. I knew I was supporting a new project... was impressed with and with its original developer, Isso.

 

Well He better use an alias. I won't get burned again by him.

 

I bought a multi-pack and installed it on 2 of my computers. Meh, I got some use out of it.

Ironically, I've not completely screwed up my computer like I used to when I tinkered more (and was on RollbackRX), so I haven't needed AX64/Flashback to save me in a pinch. But the notion it could, though never tested, was assuring.

Just purchased Macrium Reflect, which is having a 30% sale currently, in case anyone's interested.

 

...and where might that SALE be? (a lot of people are interested)
