Question: If I have an unexpired non-free license with 6 months to go, & buy an additional year (if/when Newegg or someone else offers a discounted price), will I then have (a) 18 months or (b) 12 months ?

 

I'm aware of that, and I even mentioned that you download the free version from the page from ZAM. But, my point is that if you just visit the zemana.com and go no further, you are only offered a free trial of the paid version. There is no mention of there even being a free version.

Usually your subscription starts the day you install it and activate it, till then it shouldn't expire.

Bummers!! I just today bought a 3-year license via Anon's link at Post 2364. Although I still have over 400 days to go on my current license (purchased 2.22.2016) the new license for 3 years (1095 days) is all that I now have. The remaining time on my 2 year license went down the drain.

I should have known this rip-off would happen when TwinHead ignored my question at Post 2362. I just thought that no company would pull this sort of thing on a paying customer.

I have bought several antiviruses down through the years and ALL of them have ADDED on a new subscription to the remaining time on the old subscription. Not Zemana. I just lost time that I paid for. Rip-off!!!

 

I think the problem is that you're buying different license, not extending existing one. I also think you can sort it out with their support

 

I posted a support request via zemana.com. (Their website is really slow today.)

Regarding your question, there is one thing you need to know. I don't know all of the answers, I can answer you with some technical questions regarding malware removal and how some components work. When it comes to subscription and issues with your license, you'll need to contact support.

I bought Zemana am yesterday but the thing never came to me ....maybe they are too busy

Is it correct that both drivers (zamguard64.sys and zam64.sys) are installed on the system when using only the Portable version of ZAM ?

That's correct. Zemana needs Administrator rights and some power to remove malware and these components are there for it.
