    I'm looking forward to trying the new version.

    VS is getting better and better and could become essential software along with a good AV that users will wish to run in any normal situation on their systems for the excellent protection it provides.

    "Hmmm, MBAM also block it...
    But every other site inspector says that is clean, only BitDef and Malwarebytes have suspitious detections!"

    I have mbam paid and it does give me a warning at all :eek:
    also have adguard with WOT but had WOT turned off at the time.

    Couldn't agree more. It is also great to have an approachable developer and excellent help from the Wilders community!

    Congrats! VS continues to be quiet and polite, does great in SMART mode. Couldn't ask for a better anti-exe at the moment.

    They tested all products with default settings (+internet access). I'm not sure about the default settings, but i think both (VT+VAi) are enabled.

    @Djigi
    Default settings were used in all tested software, so the results would be the same in the free version.

    @SHvFl
    Default settings so both VT and VAi would have been used.

    @VoodooShield
    Excellent results - well done. And that's before the improved Ai and other tweaks you are
    working on! :)

    EDIT
    @mood Looks like you just beat me to it!

    I totally appreciate the AVLab.pl test, I think they did a great job.

    Now, I know it is not practical, but I would LOVE to see an AV testing lab run a similar test with a true representative sample set (3,000 + samples (my best guess)). Especially if you consider that most (or all) testing samples are (obviously) known malware.

    Think about all of the unknown malware… you cannot test for that, right?

    It is time we lock our computers ;).

    Always Locked...

  21. I am on a slow internet connection abroad, so could not download the report, but I assume VS scored a 100%.

    @VoodooShield, Dan auto-pilot scoring as good as smart mode any chance you would make smart mode smarter by allowing already installed signed programs to run from user space (with the VT and AI scan still checking this new version/update out).

    You have made the command block also more user friendly, so why not make smart mode smarter?

    Yes, VS got 100% of the 28 malware samples used in the test. A few well known names allowed 4 or more infections through and therefore failed.

    @VoodooShield
    It is a bit confusing as regards the testing modes used. The report says:
    " Voodoo Shield Pro was tested in two modes: the AutoPilot mode on and the ApplicationWhitelist
    (SMART, ALWAYS ON). Identical results in both cases."

    AutoPilot is clear. However was the other mode SMART or ALWAYS On or a combination of the two?

    Which conflicts somewhat with what the actual AVLab report says and was the reason I asked Dan directly.

    I can't find the difference between smart mode and always on mode in real usage. I know smart mode only works if online app is running but it still block stuffs regardless of the color of the shield. Could any explain me what we lose if smart mode icon is red? Thank you
