Hi, I have downloaded a program called Trelby. I am not using it sandboxed. When I try to preview something I have written, it tries to open the preview using Sumatra PDF , which is a forced program. It fails to open the preview and I get the message SBIE2337 Failed to start program: [44 / 2] If i disable forced programs the preview opens with Sumatra PDF. Am i missing something ? Another senior moment ! Thanks in advance for any ideas
@mood, If Trelby is run sandboxed, the preview opens just fine . The thing is this program is for my wife, I don't want to run Trelby sandboxed, she is dafter than I am ( much nicer though ) I think I will try Foxit PDF reader and see if that works. Cheers
If you run both sandboxed (Trelby + PDF-Reader) or both unsandboxed you will have no complications. If you force the PDF-Reader to run sandboxed, but Trelby is unsandboxed this can lead to some problems with the PDF-preview. But you may have this "PDF-Preview problem" with other programs too, not only Trelby. One solution is to "Disable forced programs" before you preview a file, but you have to disable it before each preview (as you already did in #1) In general make sure that the PDF-reader is not forced to run sandboxed if Trelby is unsandboxed.
Perhaps, if it were me, but it would be my wife running the program, she knows nothing about S..B That's not an option really, to me it's a big security risk, especially as several people use the desktop. Thanks for the replies. I think i will ask directly on the S.B forum. Cheers
