I've looked over the enterprise solutions for internet security and I find them to be quite sophistrous. Typically, instead of "Internet security" like you would buy for the home, you get "endpoint security." Does endpoint security imply a personal firewall? If not what firewall would be a good fit if your business network is modem <->server<->router<->everyone else's computer Also, are Sophus Intercept X and Sophus Clean the top enterprise antivirus software? Note, that most of Sophus's firewall solutions are hardware based, and I would prefer not to do that. Sophus does have "Web Gateway." Would that be what I am looking for? Also, there is Forcepoint's Websense Web Filter and Security. Does that work if you install it only on the server/gateway? Oops, if you look at the bottom of the page it is clearly meant for endpoints.
What exactly is the point of this Firewall? Just to protect the network? Because the firewall will go on the server, then the server to the router which will obviously route to everybody.
Will the firewall on the server filter content routed to the clients on the network? I should add that I am thinking of a server gateway with two ethernet ports on it, one for the modem and one for the router. I'm not sure if they make computers like that anymore.
