is HMPA compatible with COMODO sandboxing?
I have an issue that some time after installing HMPA, the COMODO sandbox stops working.
But it doesn't happen right away.
Are there certain HMPA settings to be avoided? What about "active vaccination"?

I've been running Comodo far longer than I have been running HMP.A and I have found that the sandbox stops working over time. It's a pain in the butt, but I have found that resetting the sandbox is the only option. In my case, I mainly only run web browsers in the sandbox, launched via the desktop widget. I find that Chrome is usually the first one to stop launching there. However, I recently found a fix. Launch the Virtual Desktop (via the desktop widget) and reinstall Chrome there. It has worked twice for me already. The only remaining annoyance (and I think it's a Comodo sandbox issue and not a HMP.A issue) is that when I try to re-order tabs in sandboxed Chrome, they split off into separate browser instances. The same re-ordering in the non-sandboxed Chrome does not exhibit this behaviour.

BTW, I have everything enabled in HMP.A.

Yep did it just as described:
    1. cleared MBR checkmark
    2. disabled CryptoGuard
    3. Reboot
    4. Plugged in USB-drive
    5. Started HMP and click the Kickstart button
    6. Follow instructions

In my mind KickStart could be handy to help as a kind of rescue drive but maybe I'm wrong.

Go to settings - "Cryptoguard" and untick "Master Boot Record (MBR)"
After that start Rufus and try again to create your bootable USB drive.

Have you tried HitmanPro.Alert 3.5.4 Build 565 BETA?

If that doesn't help, have you tried what Hiltihome described:
Or perhaps what mood described may be enough?

    If that didn't work,
have you tried HitmanPro.Alert 3.5.4 Build 565 BETA, that "Fixed WipeGuard false positive when creating HitmanPro.Kickstart USB flash drive"?

Build 565 is working fine and fixed the BSOD issue on WIN10, when doing safe remove of usb drive.
Issue building KickStart drive is also solved.

    @maniac2003 :
Hurry up, because KickStart will be removed from HMP, with the next build.
Try one last attempt, to get KickStart build:
Format your USB-drive, using NTFS, and put some random data on it.
Start the KickStart builder and pray...

Altough KickStart is obsolet, I had a rare police-style ransomware on a customers machine, running WIN-XP, no service-packs installed,
    no anti-virus running..
This particular machine was used in production, to run very old software.
Some stupid must have used this machine to surf the web with IE6....

    KickStart solved this issue.

Tried it again this morning, still error 50. That was with the HMPA service shut off, Emisoft turned off and of course a reboot. :(

HMPA b565 is still broken on my XP system. Firefox 49.0.1 cannot be launched after installation. The following error occurs: The application failed to initialize properly (0xC0000005). The interesting thing is that I get this error with every file I try to view in the Firefox root directory, but not in it's Sub-Dirs.:( I can delete the root without problems. Previous versions of FF don't seem affected. When I tried to uninstall the beta, I got a BSOD. Erik, sent you the dump.

    Hi all,

I use Hitman Pro Alert to protect me from ransom-ware. I have noticed some people use both HPA and Hitman Pro. Do you think that's overkill? Or a good idea?

    Cheers :)

    Brett,

HitmanPro does not provide any protection. It is only a scanning tool designed to detect active malware. There is no conflict having both HMP and Alert installed together.

    Cheers.

Hey. You are asking for trouble if you use XP. IMHO you should update to either Windows 7 or 10.

I'm confused? Doesn't HP provide real-time malware detection?

HitmanPro.Alert provides real-time protection, but not HitmanPro.
As Krusty13 said, HitmanPro does not provide any real-time protection, HitmanPro is only a scanning tool designed to detect active malware.
