Why do you say this? And I read that they are planning to release a consumer version, this would be the first "next gen" AV for the consumer market. I wonder if they can pull this off.

[From the link] "...In-Q-Tel (named after "Q" in the James Bond films) invests in..."

"We can neither confirm nor deny the existence of the information requested but, hypothetically, if such data were to exist, the subject matter would be classified, and could not be disclosed."

    Best regards

That depends on the product of course, if it's a purely cloud based AV then I will have to pass. But I thought this "AI/machine learning" stuff is supposed to work more like an intelligent behavior blocker, so it shouldn't need the cloud.

"no control over any settings" <-- this is inaccurate. If a Customer purchases Cylance PROTECT with 100 or more devices, they get a dedicated cloud-based management console where they can control every aspect of the device policy themselves. For smaller organizations and people who don't want to manage these things themselves, we provide a Managed Service that bespoke tailors the policy to our Customers' needs. Ultimately our Customers get exactly the device policy they want.

It might help you to better understand if you had some experience with Cylance PROTECT - certainly we can get you a trial subscription. If you're not comfortable trying it on your personal computer, maybe do what several of our trial Customers do and use a VM.

MM you are able to give trial subs now? and I just saw on another thread you made the official offer to new customers that they will get access to an online control panel where they can waive or quarantine files found? I personally have found that useful for myself.
