could you test this by disconnecting from the net to prevent any auto-update feature by mozilla and then reverting back to an older image
Same happened on my W10 system... all OK now. I decided to "extinguish" the extension from my W7 System and use a Style Sheet instead... all is fine. Now, back to Macrium Reflect.

Hey guys, I just started using the free edition and I noticed that Reflect did not awaken my sleeping laptop at the scheduled backup time, so no backup occurred until I started using my laptop (which then ran rather slow because of the backup running at the same time). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I keep seeing that we may not be able to write to a bootable USB Flash Drive. However, is there any reason we can not just use it to just backup certain folders and files and not a whole image. We do not want it to be bootable.
I know of no problem WRITING to USB drives... the issue is imaging the UFDs, Reflect doesn't allow it.
Well, I am back, this time with version 6.2 (1549) under Windows 7 x64. Is there any way to run more than one incremental backup per day automatically other than by using a third-party scheduler? I can't see much point in Macrium providing CBT technology and then limiting timed backups to once a day. Norman
you can add another incremental task by editing the existing task(s) from within macrium itself, here i've added a third task to run an incremental at 09:00 as well as the 23:05 one.
Of course. It never occurred to me I could have more than one backup type of a kind (in this case, incremental) in any single chain. The possibilities are unending. Thank you. Norman
I have notifications disabled, both within Macrium and Windows 10, but nevertheless I get a brief Windows notification pop up each time a backup kicks off. It's only on the screen for a second, but it's enough to kick me out of a full screen game. Any ideas how to prevent it happening? I seem to remember a few weeks ago when Macrium scheduling was broken due to the Anniversary update that there was a (task scheduler?) workaround that resulted in notifications being completely unavailable. That might be a good option for me.
Ok folks, dumb question. I've searched the Macrium knowledge base, but can't find the answer. I've been using MR Free on my wife's computer for awhile now. I finally broke down and purchased the Home edition. How do I enter in the new license key into MR? I've looked everywhere. Or, do I have to uninstall the free version and then re-install MR?
Actually, I finally found the answer. You have to run the install program again (without un-installing). You are then prompted to either install the free version or you can check a radio button and then enter your license code. If you do it this way, it saves everything from the free version. Thanks Peter.
Glad you found it. Since I don't use the free version, I wasn't sure. You've made an excellent purchase.
(Off topic) Still planning on purchasing IFW soon as a backup to MR. I haven't forgot about your offer of assistance....
Re using a UFD as rescue media - I have previously used CD but have now built a rescue media UFD and tested this. What do I need to do next time there is an update to the rescue media due to a software update? Do I just run the rescue media wizard again or do I need to delete the files on the ufd first? Anything else I should consider?
