    Edit of old Thread

Topic Edited Due to School Reasons:

    My Statement:

I will not be posting anything else like this again and i will not be held responsible for any malcious attempts at the school computer systems i have never mentioned or tryed to malciously Damage school Computer property or steal information from the school systems anyone who attempts this are acting alone and i have never helped them in any way.
I also do not distribute ip adress's for hacking purposes and i never work alongside hackers because i myself have been attacked by hackers.
The Schools website was posted for viewing purposes and this is completely legal as the website is public to anyone.

The message that was here was posted from home and not at School i was Simply venting my opinion about the School Systems Allthough I mabe shouldnt have Done it in the way i did it I was not Intentionally trying to Damage the school systems and i never had hinted that anyone should Damage the Computer Systems i am entitled to my own opinion.

That is all i have to say on the matter i have never attacked School systems or Distributed personal or sensitive information about education department School Systems frankly i do not know how to damage the Schools Systems and i do not have the tools to do it with also i do not know anyone that has the information to do so and i do not have any intrest in Damageing Goverment property.

Anyway I have more Important Things to Do in my time than to make attacks on Computer Systems like working at the Eset Australian security boards.

You need to be watched "over" and guided, but, thiso_O

That's depressing, SmiDDy, kinda like the schools that are now banning recess.

Think of it this way - they must think you kids are soo smart- that they are actually afraid of your innate intelligence around computers!
All young kids have that, from their moms and dads playing computer games when they were young! It's in your genes, DNA, OK?
Yep, I bet that's it - so spread the word to your friends, you can watch all the whispering back and forth. Yep! that'll scare'em!!
    Luck!!

    Try Multiplayer Games

When your family members complain that you spend too much time playing PC games, you could simply cut down, or you can convince them to join you. Once your home network is set up, you can have mini-LAN parties any time you want.

The real trick is finding games that work well with your oldest computer.

Perhaps the best choice is DOOM 95, which works fairly well even on a 486DX/66 system and runs smoothly on a Pentium/200 computer. As the name suggests, the game works within Windows 95 and later, and it supports several different types of networks.

It's not your computer or your ISP account. What's the problem?

I agree that it's the school's computers, the school's rules, but if the admin's are so serious about a no gaming policy, why is Doom on a on a shared drive on the school's network? Are the admin's trying to bait students?

I'd be angry with the school hosting material that they shouldn't if it was my kid that got into trouble like this.

    Sorry SmiDDy!!
Don't worry, all this is part of growing up and especially being a teen-ager. Someday it will serve you as something you learned a lesson from, and maybe even laugh about. I know it doesn't seem possible now, just take our word for it, you will grow out of all this!! :) In the meantime, Take Care, and learn all you can, that's the best revenge!

In youth we run into difficulties, In old age difficulties run into us. :)  Marja

Kids (and teachers too!) can't even do a google image search anymore in some Qld state schools now...

Kid is doing an assignment on Agriculture (for eg.) and can't even find a picture of a cow!

Maybe books will become popular again?

Not to HORN in on the conversation, but shouldn't this thread be MOOved out of 10 forward and perhaps into the "Pitiful Puns" forum?

It would probably beHOOVE us all to at least consider it.
